We are in the heart of the wine and cognac country with many local direct sales and tasting opportunities.
The local village is just 1/2 km away with a few shops, large supermarket and bars. Other bigger towns are Barbezieux is just 10km away with shops, bars and restaurants and Jonzac is about 12km away and also has shops, bars, restaurants and a large swimming and leisure complex. Both these towns have markets during the week.
The coast is only 50 minutes away and the Major towns of Cognac and Angouleme are within 35 minutes drive.
The historic city of Bordeaux is just 45 minutes away with flights from all over the UK. Angouleme now has flights from Stanstead and is only 30 minutes drive. There are other local airports such as Limoges, Bergerac and La Rochelle.
We are on the edge of an old railway track which is suitable for walkers and cyclist and stretches for miles through different villages.
